4/18/10 - Firebirds - Stock Pack Tie 5-5! Ashley lead the team with a
stellar pitching performance giving up only 4 earned runs on 5 hits in
seven innings of work. She struck out 7 adding to her team leading
total. Karri and Jillia both hit doubles to ignite the offense. Grace
lead the defense with 3 put-outs with Ashley helping her cause with 2
put-outs.Another great performance ladies!
3/28/10 - Firebirds Win 6-4 Nailbiter! Grace pitched a complete game
only giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits with 5 strikeouts. The offense
was anchored by Jillia who went 2 for 3 scoring 1 run and 2 RBI. Olivia
started off the second inning with a line drive shot to left center for a
double. Sydney, Hailey H., Ashley, Grace, Meredith, and Hailey P. all
contributed to the win with singles. The defense held strong with 3
put-outs by both Jillia and Kari. In the bottom of the third inning
Olivia threw out a running at home from left field. Truly a team
victory. Outstanding job ladies!
3/21/10 - GRAND TOTAL ANNOUNCED! The final total of how much money the
ladies raised for Akron Children's Hospital was just
released...$500.26!! Outstanding job to all of our ladies for working
hard and more than doubled our team goal. Thank you to everyone that
chipped in their spare change to help make this a success. Way to go
ladies!! (Ohhh, very good, very good)
3/7/10 - Firebirds Lose Spanodome Opener. The offense was lead by Jillia
going 2-2 with 2 doubles/1RBI and Kari going 2-1 scoring 2 runs. Ashley
pitched a solid game going 4 innings giving up only 3 runs on 4 hits
with 5 strike-outs.Olivia made her Firebirds pitching debut with her 1
inning of work.The defense was lead by Kari (2B) with 3 put-outs and
Sydney (SS) with 2.
